In 2011, Barbara Weigand opened Copper River Salon with a clear vision; Beauty should have a conscience. That vision laid the groundwork for her eco-friendly hair salon in downtown Princeton that specializes in balayage, curly hair, precision cutting and vibrant color.

​For the last two and a half decades, Barbara has mastered color, texture modification and styling. She is a razor sharp master of precision cutting with fierce attention to detail. Through the years, Barbara has refined her skills by training with the most elite educators of the Vidal Sassoon Advanced Academy and Toni&Guy and studied with the coolest and haute-est of cultural landscapes in Los Angeles, New York, London and Paris. Additionally, Barbara participated as lead hair designer at New York Fashion and New Jersey Care Couture Expo and received the New Jersey Small Business Development Center Small Business Growth Award for two consecutive years.

Barbara is no stranger to the timeless, classic cut, nor the funky, avant-garde look-of-the-moment, since her client-base has always represented all of Princeton. She is often invited to style prominent fashion shows and photo shoots. and always enjoy the opportunity to create that once-in-a-lifetime look for a bride, her bridal party. and other special occasions. When she is not in the salon, Barbara is also a vegetable and herb gardener, and community volunteer.
